Exchange? (Sophie)
I’ve always spoken of exchange and somehow around August last year, I stupidly discounted the idea due to cost…without really thinking creatively about how I could raise the money required.
Anyhow…the last few weeks I’ve realised some possibilities that exist for me to raise the money, and now I’m full of enthusiasm and I’m dying to go! I’m going to speak with some people in the exchange office at uni next week and I really need to start getting organised if I want to go before my degree ends. I have a LOT to do in a short space of time if I seriously want to go.
For now though, I pose a question –
USA
or
UK?
I always dreamed of going to the US….I love loud, brash, american boys and that competitive “SHOW ME THE MONEY!” culture. I couldn’t imagine anything more amazing than attending somewhere like NYU or UPenn.
But then Europe has become awfully seductive in recent times – particularly as I hear of Mr HT’s adventures in Prague and the likes. I’m desperate to see Vienna…a city that has haunted me see I saw “The Third Man”…..and of course, London may come calling with so many people close to me living there now.
Decisions…
Sophie, I think you should satisfy your dream of going to the US first. It seems you’ve had that dream the longest. There will always be time for Europe later. Good luck with it. I hope you are able to fulfill your dream !
Keep us “posted”.
hey sophie! I went to one of those info sessions the other day and thought it looked awesome, but man, 12k is a lot of money!
I reckon you should go to Europe because you can travel a whole heap more over there. One day you can just be like ‘Mmm, I think I’ll pop over to Germany for lunch’.
And then you could even do a bit of backpacking after the semester is over.
But US would be awesome too, really any travel sounds awesome to me! Hope you work it all out!
