Done! And all alone now… (Suzanne)

I finished my last exam today. It was pretty bad because I never even started the 4th essay although I’m pretty sure I nailed the other three so it should still be a pass. Maybe even an H2B with a lot of luck. Anyway, as I was walking out of the Royal Exhibition Building, I bumped into N, one of the other people from my first year group in music/law, whom I hadn’t seen in ages.

Now, the thing about music/law is that it is a rather rare degree. At the start of first year, there were only three people, myself included, who are in my year for both degrees (there are three more transferees, who are in my year for one degree but a different year for the other). At the end of last semester, one of us, C, dropped out. And so it was just me and N. Today I heard from N that actually, she doesn’t do music/law anymore either, or at least not both as degrees – she switched her music degree to a DipMus.

So now I am all alone as the only person in my year who does music/law. And there are only 10 of us in total, down from 12.

Wow.

Anyway. Since I’m done, I’ll be moving out of college tomorrow to the new house, and will not have internet or phone at all in the new house. Hopefully I’ll survive a week and then fly home to Hong Kong. No blog posts for a while, I’m abstaining from technology over the break (and by abstinence I mean abstinence except for the weekend — I’m really not that much of a Luddite).
