Less alone (Georgie)

So what’s to say?

I’m shockingly behind on all my essays and study. Every time I get near a computer I end up looking up stuff for my trip to Europe. Travel insurance (which I still haven’t got), luggage, hostels, tips for backpackers, couchsurfing, ways of getting from london to prague, what to pack etc. etc.

To make matters worse, I am also behind on my trip planning. I have at least set out an itinerary: 1st week london, 2nd week Oxford, 3rd week Cambridge, 4th week travel in the Czech Republic, 5th week youth political/leadership conference in Prague, and the 4 weeks in Ireland with relatives before I start 4 months of uni at Dublin. Then I have 8 weeks to fill after that before I come home on the 25th of Feb next year – tips/ideas anyone?

I had my last shift til I get back next year at Angus and Robertson today, I shall miss all the books!

I finally got youth allowance from Centerlink – talk about a hassle! Has anyone else had to go through that rigmarole?

I’m still trying to organise my going away party that I’m having with a friend this friday, and the one on sunday I’m having with family. Hopefully they both shall be good, and more than three people come, which is what I keep having nightmares about.

The statuses on my friends’ facebooks make me smile. At the moment, they all tend to be ‘John is procrastinating’ or ‘Jane is not doing her study’ or ‘Sarah is on facebook when she should be studying’ or ‘Sam is hating homework’. It makes me feel less alone in such a busy period.

Hope all is well with everyone’s study. Good luck for exams and essays! See you on the other side…..
