I’ve just found out tonight that I’m going back to Italy in September over the mid-semester break!!! I am so excited! I can’t believe this is really happening….I get to visit lots of little old towns, see the Bay of Naples, explore more of the Tuscany region, return to Florence, check out Milan….if I’m lucky maybe I’ll learn a few more words of Italian and find some time to house-hunt for my future holiday villa lol! Ciao!

Hi sophie! I’ve very much enjoy reading your blog pasts and at one stage (when i first discovered the first year blog at the beginning of the year) I went back and read all your old archives. You have a very interesting, witty and entertaining style of writing. However of late, you seem to be updating fairly infrequently and I’ve found when you do update, your posts to be fairly obscure, random, quite dull and all over the place. This does not make for good writing. For example, in your above blog entry you make no mention of why and how your new trip overseas came about. A little story hear and there dramatically improves your blog entries and entertainment value.
sorry, i made a mistake above : I meant to say “blog posts in the past” and not “your blog pasts”
also I meant to say “good reading” and not “good writing”. Sorry, I really need to proof read – something I as a reader find quite frustrating myself when other people do not do so.
Thanks Ema75 for the feedback! I’m sorry to have disappointed a faithful reader!!! To respond to your comments. Firstly I have truly been incredibly busy hence the lack of updates….or when I update it’s usually motivated by some totally random things that have spurred me onto write. My life absolutely lacks routine and consistency right now and is full of many uncertainties. I think perhaps this is coming through in my writing?
Also part of me is torn between revealing some of the exciting things that have been going on in my life, and yet trying to respect the privacy of those involved. [That whole issue is a blog discussion in itself!].
I’m not really sure what I can do to improve….I feel I’ve lost my audience. I’m no longer a first year experiencing uni for the first time. I’m not longer a second year student on the hunt for an internship / job. I’m a third year student whose basically just waiting to move onto the next challenge.
I think perhaps it’s time for me to end writing on here, because an era has passed. I have been endeared to the experience though, and I adore writing …. so it’s hard!
