Well, that totally makes my day. (Suzanne)
Hi guys! I’ve been ridiculously busy this week, with a pretty big backlog of to-dos, so I really shouldn’t be blogging, but I’d just like to make an announcement:
I got appointed as a general member to the editorial board of the Melbourne Journal of International Law yesterday (decided, on reflection, not to apply to the Law Review). Found the message on my voicemail today. It made me happy.
Now I need to finish my Music Techniques assignment for tomorrow, do my laundry, and clear a backlog of reading for Obligations – I spent four hours in law today with no idea about what was going on because I hadn’t touched any of the cases. There’s more stuff I have to do too, but I’ve forgotten it. Thank cheese for holidays, though I don’t know how I’m going to survive the 9 weeks after mid-term break.
But, yeah. Yesterday was an awesome day. Lovely, chatty, talkative tute for 19th Century Music and Society in the morning, followed by singing and playing music in Techniques, followed by this kind of fun, hippy-ish look at how to breathe and relax in woodwind class, then I saw High Court Justice Kirby speak at lunchtime (and he was actually a really funny guy), followed by really good 19th Century lecture, followed by dinner at college that was actually good, and then a movie screening of ‘Goodbye Lenin!’ courtesy of the JCH historical society. And now I realise that I was appointed to MJIL on that day too. I need more of those kinds of days.
Congrats Suzanne !!!
Life is great when we have awwsome, happy days like that.
Congrats! Simply awesome! =D
Congratulations! Good luck with it!
