I must say, I completely agree with Viv from the first year blog that arts students do leave things to the last minute, as this is what I have just done for my Public Policy paper and all of the other essays I have handed in so far this year.
But this forces me to ask the questions: Are the any Arts students out there, or just uni students in general, that actually finish their essays early? Do such people actually exist?

I’m in Science and I do finish my assignments (esp. maths) early simply because I want it out of the way for other Physiology which requires more time. Quite often, I finish the my prac report on the weekend and it is due on the following Tuesday. XD
I’ve done it a couple of times, usually nothing more than a day in advance, though. Hoping to knock off the remaining music history assignment tonight, though, which would be two weeks in advance — I need to leave space for a 100% legal theory essay that I haven’t even thought about and an Obligations take-home exam, both due in two weeks, and I’d rather not have to bother with a 10% reflective tute assignment when I already have everything I need to finish it now.
OMG. My grammar in the previous post stuffs up so badly. lol
Must… repeat… year 7….
I reckon since the time i started uni, i’ve never ever done any assignment early. Old habits die hard i guess. Another reason is that each of my assignments would just be worth 3 or 5%—the brunt of my marks across all subjects would be coming from my exams. Or of course, this might just be another pathetic excuse for my poor study habit.
And I have to report that my attempt to finish my assignment two weeks early has failed pretty miserably and said assignment will probably be handed in last minute. Oops.
It is all about ur determination or ur “passion” for the subject matter of the essay. 😛
we can all sacrifice the leisure time and get it done early.
I do know ppl who finish their essay early.
Actually, I did end up handing in said assignment early. Finished it a week in advance. Now I can spend all my time writing my stupid legal theory essay and/or practicing my stupid clarinet 😛
