I can prove anything by statistics except the truth
Second year in medicine and in my main course, we’re delving deeper and deeper into the human body with focuses on the respiratory, cardiovascular and locomotor systems. On my other course, I’m loaded down with statistics. The lecturer is throwing everything at us – anything from person-years to variance to 95% confidence intervals (which, no puns intended, I have no confidence in). At times, I feel like all I have are formulas.
And so this is how I’m spending my Easter break, trying to do my assignment while catching up on TV shows and stuff that I’ve missed in the last eight weeks of my study (which adds up to a lot). After that, it’s catching up on all my lectures and then, post-reading for them plus a bit more learning. *pause* Okay, so I guess this break is not really a break. *sigh*
Ah well, hope you guys are all enjoying your Easter holidays!
wow – so you’re really treating the Easter break as the non-teaching period that it is, rather than as a long-deserved holiday – I salute you!
