Transition time. [nicola]
Does anyone out there feel old? Wandering around campus yesterday for O-week to sign up for various clubs etc (union/gym)… and to post up various ‘textbooks for sale’ on random subject related walls (buy my textbooks!) – I noticed various friends of my brother (2yrs junior to me) checking out the rowdy and enjoying various public establishments. Old. Mature?
However I’ve FINALLY made a decision about subjects and for the hundredth time changed them, still waiting to get them approved. Its been a long and confusing road. Apparently I was enrolled in 1st year commerce AND 2nd year Science, alongside approval to overload due to doing the Global Issues Program. eek. Something alerted me when I was recieving the first of many invoices for Commerce… so my timetable now is back to five full days a week, with the possiblity of an online course (and finishing up assignments from summer school). But loving every moment of it. So much more relaxed/less stressed than this time last year.. of which I’d just arrived from Taiwan the week before… memories.
Second years… vacation program applications now open up online – just give it a go, you never know. (hey.. I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it :p)
First years – join clubs, eat free food and make sure you’re in a state to remember all of it at the end of the week.
Love you all. Ciao!

Now that there are new freshies in the first year blog —
