"Back to school to prove to my dad that I'm not a fool" (Pris)
I feel like a Year 7 all over again!
Although, this time there’s a lot less spoon feeding and I’m not sure if I’m thrilled about this new found independence or if I’m still nervous about messing everything up. Whichever one it is, though, I guess it’s sort of fun…like:
Navigating my way around the law department only to find that my next lecture is literally on the other side of campus (to give you an idea of how far this is, it’s not even the same tram stop!) Of course, since I don’t really plan these things ahead or look for the fastest route there earlier in the morning, I wind up sitting at the back on the edge panting for my breath. I’ve gotta think these things through more!
Getting bored for the first half of my five hour break between tutes only to find heaven in the form of the cartoon room of the Rowdon Library – it has beanbags and manga and a massive tv and….it’s AMAZING!!! Seriously, you should see it. It’s like the cubby house I’ve never had but dreamed of! Clearly, that costly fee to join the Union was worth it!
Overcrowded areas: mainly the trams (and I thought trams after high school finished was bad!) and the bookstore. Hahaha, the bookstore being crowded – I wouldn’t of thought…
Meeting random people in lectures and tutes beginning with something along the lines of “why are they dimming the lights?! Are they trying to make us sleep?!”
And lots, LOTS more! It’s a little overwhelming at times but I guess that just adds to the humour when you look back retrospectively! Ahhh, uni, please continue to be this entertaining after the first week hype has died away!

Potentially odd question: Were you in my Tuesday morning creative writing tute (the tutor being Chloe)? I only ask this because I sat next to a girl called Priscilla and I’m confident in saying that it’s not a particularly common name (much like mine, coupled with its Italian spelling).
Bah, I added a comment but my net threw a tantrum. I blame the site…
The Rowdy Library is the greatest. Many a lunchtime I haven’t been bothered to find my friends, preferring a nice chair and comic in the Beanbag room. Oh beanbag room. I love you.
