'Tis the holiday season! (Rinaldho)
OK, well I think I’m going to keep this post a short one, mainly because I don’t have a lot of wisdom to bestow on you readers this week, but secondly, because, well, that’s it really. So in order to save you from a drawn-out post with no clear message, I shall keep this one niiiiiiiiiiiice and easy (And yes, the multiple “i”s were necessary, since I’m leaning back on my chair writing this, I thought it was a fitting gesture)…
Well, As it was the end of the first part of the semester last week, I’m pretty sure that all of us had assignments to submit. I don’t know about you, but for someone who hasn’t done any work for the past year, handing these in were a daunting task, I kept doubting myself everytime I wanted to click “submit assignment”… I lost track of the amount of times I read over both my assignments in a panic, wondering what I had done wrong. But after a few hours of that, I finally was able to submit them, and suddenly, it felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders, needless to say, it was a good feeling.
Well, because it is the mid-semester break, let me learn you guys some knowledge:
- If you are a Union memeber, and if you have a lot of time to kill between classes, go to the ROWDEN WHITE library on the second floor of Union House. I realise I sounded just like a commercial, but seriously, this place is awesome, mangga, movies, internet, magazines, beanbag chairs, this place has the lot…
- Always carry an umbrella, even if there aren’t any clouds in the sky. I’ve been caught out too many times by these surprise rain showers, and its just NOT cool
- The asian food stall at Union House, next to the west exit is just awesome… good food, massive portions and inexpensive… You’re welcome
- Cherish your tutes, I don’t know about you, but I hate lectures and the whole impersonality (?) of it, so I have come to appreciate my tutes so much… I know this isn’t the first time I’ve said this, but coming from the small school I did, these classes are heavenly
- Walking back to college one day, I decided to take a different route, and I found out that just behind the Babel building, there is a small path which I think leads to the botany areas, and if you follow the path, it’ll take you to an awesome garden, and since it’s hidden, practically no-one is there… I know where I’ll be spending a lot of MY lunch-breaks from now on
Well, as I promised, this will be a short post, so all I would like to say now is; have an awesome Easter break, and don’t get too carried away with eating all of the chocolates you’re bound to receive…
